What to Proclaim

What do we proclaim to them –

A word, a sword, a man?

A school of art

A mode of thought

A theory we would ban?

Do we announce a secret

Conspiracies or frauds

Enlightenment

New firmaments

Appeasement of the gods?

We preach Christ Jesus, God’s Son

Him crucified at that

Foolish to Greek

Tripwire to Jew

Divine yet son of man

We preach Him with our words

We reflect Him in our deeds

His image seen

No veil between

In we who His word heed

Proclaim Him, only worthy!

Lamb standing as though slain

King of all kings

Lord of all lords

Returning soon to reign!
