A call given in childhood
A passion for the lost
Deep love for the Scriptures and
A zeal to serve Thee most
The path seemed clear, but as time passed
Another call that path bypassed
Thy plan unknown, but plan Thou hast
My ways all in Thy book
Thou gave us gentle guidance though
Showing just the next where
And only when ‘‘twas time to move
A voice behind us, “there”
In faith we step out, trusting Thee
Serve now, look forward prayerfully
May all our days bring Thee glory
Make us fit tools for Thee
